These terms govern your use of the $CONGRESS website. By using it, or by connecting a wallet to it, you accept them. If you do not, do not use the site.
What $CONGRESS is
$CONGRESS displays the Periodic Transaction Reports that Members of the U.S. House of Representatives file with the Office of the Clerk, and that senators file with the Secretary of the Senate, and nothing else. It is not affiliated with the U.S. Congress, the House, the Senate, or any Member. It adds no opinion to the reports. Party and committee information comes from the Clerk's member list and, for senators, the public congress-legislators roster.
The data can be wrong
Reports are read automatically from PDFs. A report can contain errors made by its filer, and our reading can introduce errors of its own. Scanned paper reports are not read at all. Every trade links to its source PDF: the PDF is the record, not this site. Check it before relying on anything shown here.
Members may disclose a trade up to 45 days after it happens, so the feed always describes the past. A trade shown here says nothing about what a Member holds today.
Use of the reports
Federal law restricts the use of these reports for commercial purposes, other than by news and communications media for dissemination to the general public, and forbids using them to establish anyone's credit rating or to solicit money. You agree not to use this site or its data for any of those prohibited purposes.
The Copy button
When a Member bought a stock that also trades as a token on Robinhood Chain, the Copy button can build a transaction that swaps ETH from your wallet for that token through the Uniswap v4 Universal Router. You review and sign that transaction in your own wallet. $CONGRESS never holds your funds, cannot move them, and adds no fee. Network fees and pool fees apply.
Stock tokens on Robinhood Chain are issued by third parties and track the price of a share or a fund. Holding one is not holding the share: no shareholder rights, no vote, no dividend from the company. Its value depends on its issuer. Liquidity can be thin, prices can move between the quote and the execution, and the markets these tokens track close at night and at weekends.
The $CONGRESS coin
Holding $CONGRESS switches on the Copy button. It gives no right to any revenue, dividend or vote, and no earlier or better access to any data: the feed is the same for everyone. Its price can go to zero.
No advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. That a Member bought or sold a stock is not a reason to do the same. You act on your own judgement and at your own risk, and you may lose everything you commit.
